ProsperitySMP at a glance

Java: play.prosperitysmp.com · Bedrock: 15.204.249.228 port 19132 · Paper 1.21.8 · Java + Bedrock crossplay via Geyser · Season 0, live · Open to public, no whitelist.

What is ProsperitySMP?

ProsperitySMP is a cross-platform Minecraft survival economy server running Paper 1.21.8, with Java at play.prosperitysmp.com and Bedrock at 15.204.249.228 on port 19132. Season 0 is live and open to the public, with no whitelist. Java and Bedrock players share one world, one economy, and one chat through Geyser. The server is built around six jobs, a player-run chest-shop market, city plots you can buy outright or rent by the week, and a public contract board.

If you want the long version, start with Getting Started and the Economy Guide.

Which Prosperity server is this?

This is ProsperitySMP at play.prosperitysmp.com, which is the only reliable way to tell it apart from the several unrelated Minecraft servers that also use the name Prosperity. This one runs Paper 1.21.8, takes Java and Bedrock players together via Geyser (Bedrock: 15.204.249.228 port 19132), is in Season 0, and has no whitelist and no application. If a server calling itself Prosperity is whitelisted, runs 1.20.1, or is Java-only, it’s a different server.

How do I join ProsperitySMP?

Add play.prosperitysmp.com as a server in Minecraft Java 1.21.8 and connect. There’s no whitelist, no application, and no signup. On Bedrock, add 15.204.249.228 with port 19132. You spawn with $50, a wooden pickaxe, a wooden axe, and 8 bread.

Then, in order: read the rules, run /jobs join <jobname> to pick a job, /rtp out to the resource world, and go earn. The full first-30-minutes walkthrough is on Getting Started.

Does ProsperitySMP work on Bedrock?

Yes. Bedrock players connect to 15.204.249.228 on port 19132 from mobile, Windows, Switch, or Xbox, and land in the same world, economy, and chat as Java players. Crossplay runs on Geyser and Floodgate, so no add-on or resource pack is needed.

A few GUI-heavy menus render differently on Bedrock, and there are text-command equivalents for all of them:

Instead ofBedrock uses
/jobs browse/jobs join Miner (join by name, skips the GUI)
/shop/buy and /sell
/skills/skillnode <node>

Voice chat is Java-only. Full notes are on the wiki’s Bedrock setup page.

Is there a whitelist on ProsperitySMP?

No. ProsperitySMP has no whitelist, no application form, and no interview. Season 0 is live and open to the public, so you connect and play.

What version does ProsperitySMP run?

Paper 1.21.8. Java players should be on the 1.21.8 client. Bedrock players connect through Geyser on port 19132 and don’t need to match that version number.

Do I need mods or a modpack to play ProsperitySMP?

No. Every system on the server runs server-side, so the vanilla launcher is enough and there’s nothing to install. The one optional extra is Simple Voice Chat on Java, for proximity audio.

Is ProsperitySMP pay-to-win?

No. There’s no web store, no paid ranks, and no donation perks, so nothing on the server can be bought with real money. Every drill, plot, enchant, and prestige tier is earned with in-game money you made from jobs, shops, and contracts. There’s no referral programme either.

How many players does ProsperitySMP have?

ProsperitySMP is a new and small server in its first season, and we don’t publish a player count. If you’re looking for hundreds of players online at once, this isn’t that server yet. What it does mean in practice is that the market has obvious gaps, most trades are unclaimed, and early players shape what the city becomes.

What jobs are there on ProsperitySMP?

Six: Miner, Farmer, Builder, Woodcutter, Hunter, and Fisherman. You get three job slots and all three are free, which is the Season 0 cap. Each job runs from level 1 to 50, takes roughly 50 hours of active work to max, and pays 1% more per level above the first, so a level 50 job earns 49% more on its wage.

JobHow you earn
MinerBreak ores and stone underground
FarmerHarvest mature crops manually
BuilderPlace building materials and complete build contracts
WoodcutterFell trees manually
HunterKill hostile mobs and clear dungeons
FishermanFish manually with a rod

Five of the six share one title ladder (Novice → Apprentice → Elite → Master → Grand Master → Legendary); Hunter uses combat ranks E through S instead. Each job also has a skill tree you unlock with skill points earned from job levels, opened with /skills. Details: Skill Trees & Jobs.

How do I make money on ProsperitySMP?

Join a job with /jobs join and get paid per action for the work it’s named after, then sell what you gathered. Income comes from five places, not one: the job wage, sales to the admin shop at floor prices, sales to other players at better prices, job stipends, and payouts from the public contract board. A new player hand-mining should expect roughly $375–$500 an hour across all sources.

The admin shop is a price floor, not a place you should be buying from. The gap between what the server pays for your stone and what another player pays for it is the whole game. Full breakdown: Economy Guide.

Can I own land on ProsperitySMP?

Yes, and you can buy, not only rent. Residential and Commercial plots are sold at the plot signs, and a bought plot carries no rent afterwards, so it’s yours. Apartments, market stalls, and spawn shops work the other way round, rented by the week, which is the cheaper way into the city while you’re saving. Both kinds are protected by WorldGuard, and there are plots and rentals unclaimed right now.

Is there PvP on ProsperitySMP?

Yes, but only in specific places: the resource world outside spawn, designated arena regions, and declared duels where both players consented. Spawn, the city, plots, markets, and public infrastructure are all no-PvP: attacking someone there is an in-game crime that costs $750 for an unprovoked assault and $2,000 plus restitution for a kill. Self-defence is never punished.

Combat logging (disconnecting to escape an active fight in a PvP area) costs restitution and, in clear or repeat cases, a fine on top. The full offence and fine schedule is on Laws & Fines.

Is there a bank on ProsperitySMP?

Yes. The Central Bank is live, and all three of its products are open: /savings for flexible savings you can withdraw at any time, /bond for 7-day bonds at a higher rate locked in at purchase, and /stocks for the Prosperity Index. The trading desk is at economy.prosperitysmp.com/stocks.html. Rates are set by the treasury and are adjusted over time, so check in game for the current numbers.

Background on how each product works is on the wiki’s Banking and Stock market pages.

Is there an auction house or player shops on ProsperitySMP?

Both. Player-run chest shops in the market district are where most trade happens, and /find <item> locates them, distance-sorted. The auction house (/ah) is a server-wide marketplace with listing fees and a sale cut: listing works, the buy path is still being fixed, so it’s in beta until that lands. Direct player-to-player /trade is currently disabled pending a fix to an item-loss bug.

Any player can open a chest shop with a ChestShop sign on a plot or market stall they rent, and set their own prices.

What stops other players stealing my stuff on ProsperitySMP?

Inside the city, land is protected by WorldGuard, chests lock with BOLT, and every block placed or broken and every chest opened is logged by CoreProtect so staff can roll grief back. The resource world, the nether, and the end are not protected, so anything you carry or leave out there can be broken or taken by anyone. Theft and property damage are only in-game crimes on protected city land.

Are AFK farms allowed on ProsperitySMP?

No. If a farm keeps producing while you’re away from your keyboard, it’s banned. The rule is one activation from you equals one batch of output.

Read the automation policy before you build anything clever.

Is there a resource world on ProsperitySMP?

Yes, and /rtp drops you at a random spot in it. The resource world is where you’re meant to gather, and it’s deliberately unprotected: PvP is legal, keep-inventory is off, and nothing you build or leave there is safe. The nether and the end are separate worlds carrying the same two settings, unprotected and no keep-inventory. The main world is the only one that keeps your items on death, so keep anything valuable on a city plot.

Where do drills and harvesters work on ProsperitySMP?

Drills work in the resource world, the nether, the end, and in the main world on land you own or rent, which is to say anywhere you have build permission. Harvesters follow the same rule. Both are 3×3 AOE tools bought with in-game money using /buydrill and /buyharvester, gated by Miner and Farmer level at 15, 30, and 45.

They wear out and repair on an anvil with a matching ingot, and the repair cost climbs until the tool is no longer worth keeping. That’s intentional: it’s one of the economy’s long-term money sinks.

Can I use my Java and Bedrock accounts on the same ProsperitySMP profile?

Yes, if you link them at link.geysermc.org before you build up progress on the server. Linked first, your balance, jobs, and plots stay on one profile no matter which client you log in from. If you play on both before linking, you end up with two separate profiles.

Is there voice chat on ProsperitySMP?

Yes, on Java only, using Simple Voice Chat for proximity audio. Bedrock players can’t use it, so the Discord voice channels are the cross-platform option.

What is there to do after level 50 on ProsperitySMP?

Prestige. Hitting level 50 in a job lets you reset that job to level 1 in exchange for permanent bonuses, stacking to 25% extra income and 50% extra XP at P5, plus a shot at a unique Master Tool. It costs $10,000 at P1 rising to $400,000 at P5, per job, plus materials, which makes it the largest single money sink in the game. Every job prestiges independently.

Master Tools are also the only source of Mending on the server, since Mending is not obtainable in normal play. Full costs and rewards: Prestige.

Does ProsperitySMP have double XP weekends?

Not double, 1.5×. Every weekend the server runs Gold Rush, which applies a 1.5× multiplier to Jobs Reborn wages and XP. It starts automatically at Friday 10:00 and runs 72 hours, to Monday 10:00, server time (America/Chicago). Extra one-off boost events outside that window are announced in Discord ahead of time.

How do I report a player or appeal a fine on ProsperitySMP?

Report it to staff in the Discord with evidence, because there are no player police yet and all enforcement runs through staff. Give the player name, what happened, when and where, and bring screenshots, coordinates, or timestamps: staff won’t act on a claim without evidence, and CoreProtect logs are used to verify theft and property damage. To appeal a fine, take it to Discord with your evidence rather than ignoring it, since unpaid fines accrue while you argue and staff decisions on appeals are final.

Hacking, griefing, and harassment are handled as rule violations, not in-game crimes. The split is explained on Laws & Fines.

Where are the ProsperitySMP rules, wiki, map, and Discord?

The rules and the long-form reference are on the wiki at wiki.prosperitysmp.com, the public economy dashboard is at economy.prosperitysmp.com, and the Discord invite is discord.gg/gmXqBx7sfV. The BlueMap live web map lets you browse the world in a browser without launching the game, and the link is posted in Discord.
